The Lox EM3500 is a non-monitored electromagnetic lock (maglock) with up to 280kg of holding force, suited to commercial doors that need strong, reliable holding without a mechanical strike. Unlike an electric strike, a maglock is fail-safe by physical design — it holds the door shut only while powered, and releases automatically the moment power is cut. There's no fail-secure option with this type of lock, which is exactly why maglocks are a common choice on fire-egress doors.
It runs on dual voltage (12VDC or 24VDC) and includes a highly visible red/green LED status light. This is the non-monitored version — it doesn't send lock or door status back to an access control panel.
