REASONS FOR A DEVELOPED TRAFFIC SYSTEM SECURITY SOLUTION

Not only do today's transportation networks get us from point A to point B, but they also help to solve problems like traffic congestion, resource scarcity, and the environmental impact of urban expansion.

The term "transportation system" no longer refers to a specific mode of transportation; rather, it refers to a mobile system that can follow, lead, automate, and personalize our travel experiences wherever we go, as well as assist controllers in detecting and managing street accidents immediately. Not only is it advantageous for councils and public authorities, but pedestrians and drivers can also benefit from a modern CCTV traffic system, ensuring their safety at all times.

The application of network technology in transportation has resulted in the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), which use data analytics to provide comprehensive insights critical to the resolution of congested city-related problems.

POPULAR RED LIGHT TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM ON THE MARKET

The most fundamental resolution to the tactic of pursuing stoplight violations is the use of cameras with high-speed frame refresh rates and optimal resolution, strategically placed at red light intersections and continuously monitoring traffic light signals.

These cameras automatically activate when the light turns red, capturing evidence of violations. The system can take a single wide image, or three separate photos, along with details like the vehicle's license plate, signal status, and clear proof of the violation. These photos are then uploaded and sent to the vehicle owner, notifying them of the infraction and how to pay the fine.

The notification includes the date, time, and photo/video evidence of the violation, ensuring the owner understands the specific nature of the offense.  Advanced systems can even handle low-light conditions and utilize AI to accurately identify license plates,  excluding emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks.

Traffic violation cameras with advanced AI can not only capture detailed evidence (license plate, signal status, vehicle details) but also recognize car colors, makes, and models, aiding data collection and retrieval. This system not only frees up traffic officers and increases government revenue through fines, but also significantly improves overall traffic safety. By deterring violations and promoting better awareness for drivers and pedestrians, it reduces traffic accidents. Importantly, the system prioritizes emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks by automatically excluding them from enforcement.

DO WE HAVE EXPERIENCES IN SOLVING DIFFICULT ISSUES?

So, as a professional system consultant, Total Security is constantly asking itself: what information does the client need about the security camera for high-traffic area protection? Unlike other areas, we discovered that traffic areas require a high target-focus ability and a stable performance system.

The HD or 4K (depending on the area) footage quality will allow traffic controllers or police, and sometimes insurance officers, to see individuals and plates more clearly, making it easier for them to determine who poses a threat to their safety or who is at fault at the scene.

Traffic CCTV systems can extend beyond just monitoring traffic violations and offer additional security to surrounding neighborhoods. For instance, if a camera detects a break-in at a nearby residence, it can instantly alert authorities. This not only eliminates the need for the homeowner to take action but also allows police to promptly investigate using the recorded footage. This enhanced security presence fosters a greater sense of safety and comfort for residents in their homes.

Last but not least, we understand that customers such as public authorities or official government agencies always insist that the money spent on a security camera system is well worth it in terms of allowing them to easily protect their responsible areas.

As a result, TSE networking engineers must carefully consider every detail of the master plan to ensure that their requirements, as well as any potential issues, are met, even if they have not previously considered them. We researched and complied with Australian traffic regulations to ensure that all systems are secure and efficient.

However, this is not a permanent solution. We understand the smart trend of devices and technologies, which motivates us to continue learning, so we can provide the most appropriate solution for customers.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF TRAFFIC SYSTEM SECURITY SOLUTION
Requirement 1: Red light enforcement

The Red Light Enforcement Solution by Dahua (supplied by TSE) ensures synchronized operation between traffic lights and violation cameras.  Dahua's all-in-one camera captures three clear images of the offense, including the vehicle's license plate, traffic light status, and a wider scene view.  This data is then collected by the DSS platform and sent to operators for processing.  In case of transmission issues, edge storage devices ensure data is never lost.

Requirement 2: Speeding Detection

Dahua's Point Speed Enforcement system (with official software provided by TSE) allows transportation authorities to identify speeding vehicles in any weather.  This user-friendly and cost-effective system utilizes an integrated architecture for easy setup.  It combines an 8MP CCD camera with multi-target tracking radar to deliver precise, real-time speed measurements for each passing vehicle, along with high-quality images of the surrounding environment.  Even at night, clear visuals are ensured thanks to the integrated infrared flashlight.

Requirement 3: Speed Tracking at Sections

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras, also known as AI cameras with plate recording, capture license plates and timestamps at the beginning and end of designated road sections. This data is then transmitted to a central control center.  The DSS platform calculates the average speed of each vehicle based on this information.  Longer sections offer increased accuracy in speed detection, with a recommended distance of 2-6 kilometers and potential accuracy reaching up to 99.8%.  The system also allows for setting different speed limits for various vehicle types.

Requirement 4: Bus Lane Tracking

This system utilizes one or a few cameras with License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, capturing both license plate numbers and vehicle identification numbers. As vehicles enter the bus lane, a color photo is taken and uploaded to the DSS platform along with relevant details. This platform then checks the uploaded data against a regularly updated database of authorized vehicles maintained by the customer. Once verified, the system can automatically issue fines or sort vehicles based on pre-defined rules (e.g., by plate color) for further action.

Requirement 5: Parking Violations

The Parking Enforcement System efficiently monitors parking in designated zones, restricted areas, and limited-time parking spots.  This system helps to enforce parking regulations, protect pedestrians, improve public transit flow, and assist people with disabilities.  (As an authorized Dahua supplier, TSE offers a system committed to these goals.)  Cameras equipped with License Plate Recognition (LPR) automatically monitor designated areas and capture photos of vehicles in violation.  If a vehicle is parked illegally, the system issues a ticket along with evidence photos of the vehicle and license plate.

Requirement 6: Real-Time Display and Signal Control

Australians face daily traffic congestion caused by accidents, construction, or sheer volume.  This gridlock can strangle major city arteries.  The VACS system from Dahua (officially supplied by TSE) tackles this problem by dynamically adjusting traffic light timing based on real-time traffic flow.  Traffic flow cameras capture data on congestion, vehicle speed, and wait times.  This data is then used to optimize light timing, allowing traffic to clear intersections more efficiently.  The VACS system operates independently, without the need for a central software platform.

TSE HAS EXPERIENCE IN DESIGNING AND PROVIDING EQUIPMENT FOR SOME TRAFFIC SECURITY SYSTEMS

For high traffic scenarios, smart security cameras, particularly Wi-Fi-enabled devices, are an excellent alternative to hardwired (analogue) security cameras, which can be difficult to install due to their limited range.

  • Before deploying your CCTV system on the road, we are proud to highlight our strengths to help you visualize the benefits of the security system you purchased from us:
  • Because red light cameras are lightweight, they effectively discourage red light running.
  • Cameras do not infringe on individuals' privacy. The proper signal timing order makes intersections safer to navigate.
  • Because the devices are constantly exposed to the elements, close manufacturer support is critical. As a result, TSE maintains frequent contact with manufacturers in order to stay up to date on the latest information and technical support.

Finally, we understand that customers must ensure that their investment in a security system, particularly a large system such as one used in traffic areas, is worthwhile. As a result, the reputation and supportability of the system designer/supplier are the most important factors to consider.
