This USB to RJ45 extender lets you run a USB connection over standard network cabling instead of a USB cable — handy when a USB camera, printer or other peripheral needs to sit further from the host computer than a normal USB cable allows. The kit is a simple two-piece pair: one converter with a male USB plug and RJ45 socket, and a matching converter with a female USB socket and RJ45 socket, connected between them with your own CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cable run.
It's self-powered and plug-and-play — no external power supply or driver installation needed — and works with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. This is our shorter-range, more affordable option in the range. Supplied directly through Total Security Equipment.
